This instance of Cadence is operated for Chiropractic Future, and is used by its volunteers and staff. Chiropractic Future's own website is chiropracticfuture.org.
What this site holds. Cadence holds the information Chiropractic Future needs to run its own meetings: your name, your email address and phone number if you have given one, the organization you are affiliated with, the workgroups and committees you belong to, and any role you hold in them. It also holds the record of the work itself: attendance, action items and who owns them, quarterly goals, issues raised, decisions taken, and the minutes of meetings you take part in.
Where it comes from. Most of it is entered by Chiropractic Future's administrators from the organization's own records. Some of it you enter yourself, and you can correct your own details at any time.
Why the organization keeps it. Chiropractic Future is a volunteer led organization that answers to its members, and it is expected to be able to show how it reaches its decisions. Proper governance means keeping an accurate record of who was present, what was decided, who agreed to do what, and when. Cadence exists to keep that record straight and to make it available to the people responsible for it. The information held here is the minimum needed to do that.
What it is used for. Operating the service, and nothing else. It is used to show you your meetings, to let the people you serve alongside see who is in their workgroup, and to keep the organization's record of what was decided.
What it is not used for. It is not sold. It is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. It is not used to build a profile of you, to target you with advertising, or for any purpose unrelated to running Chiropractic Future's meetings. No part of the record is published on this website or made available to search engines.
Email. You will receive email only for the running of the organization's meetings: an invitation to set up your account, a notice or reminder about a meeting you belong to, a summary after one, and occasional messages about your account. There is no marketing email.
Who can see what. Access is limited to people Chiropractic Future has invited, and what each person sees depends on the workgroups they belong to. Administrators can see the organization's full record because running it requires that. Financial figures are restricted further, to the people responsible for them and to the leadership committee they are reported to.
Where it is kept. Records are held in access controlled systems operated on the organization's behalf, in the United States, and are backed up regularly. Access requires a password that only you know.
How long it is kept. Minutes, motions, decisions and the goals and action items behind them are part of Chiropractic Future's permanent governance record and are kept indefinitely. A governing body has to be able to answer later for what it decided and who took part, and a record with people removed from it no longer answers that honestly.
Your own contact details are different. They are kept while your account is active, and for as long afterwards as the organization reasonably needs them. Closing your account removes your access and your contact details. It does not remove your name from minutes of meetings you actually attended, because that would misstate the organization's own history.
Your account. You can ask what is held about you, correct anything inaccurate, or ask for your account to be closed. Write to cadence@chiropracticfuture.org. Closing your account removes your access and your contact details; it does not erase the record of meetings you attended, for the reason above.
Changes. If this statement changes in a way that affects you, you will be told by email rather than by a quiet edit to this page.
